Finally! The "Keepa for Walmart" is Here (and Why You Need It)
Finally, true historical data for Walmart is here. See how Sellify's new charts help you avoid tanking prices and spot hidden sourcing goldmines.
For years, Walmart sellers have been operating in the dark. While Amazon sellers enjoyed rich, granular historical data, we were often left guessing, making sourcing decisions based on current snapshots rather than long-term trends.
That ends now.
Sellify has just released a game-changing update that brings Keepa-level historical data to the Walmart marketplace. With what is easily the largest historical data set for Walmart sellers, Sellify is turning the lights on.
If you are serious about sourcing, you need to stop guessing and start reading the charts. Here is how to use Sellify’s new historical data to predict the future and snipe profitable sales.
1. Review Velocity: The Pulse of the Product
One of the hardest things to gauge on Walmart is actual sales volume.
Sellify’s Review Velocity chart plots the accumulation of reviews over time. This is your best proxy for sales consistency.
- What to look for: Look for a steady, upward slope in the review line. Look for higher slopes in the past as that is often a signal of seasonality.
- The Strategy: A flat line means the product is dead. Steep upward curve indicates a viral product or a sudden spike in demand.
- Typically, a listing gets about one review for every 100–300 units sold. That range isn’t exact, review rates can vary a lot, but it should give you a rough sense of whether the product is actually moving or not.
Pro Tip: If the Review Velocity is climbing but the Offer Count (see below) is low, you have found a potential goldmine.

2. Offer Count: Know Your Enemy
Historically, you might see a product with a great price and think, "I can sell this!" But you didn’t know that 50 other sellers just found the same supplier yesterday. But sometimes it does not even matter. Look at this chart below where Offer Count jumped up but so did Buy Box Price!
The Offer Count history shows you the number of sellers on a listing over time.
- The "Tanking" Warning: If you see the Offer Count spike vertically (e.g., jumping from 3 sellers to 25 in a week), and price also tanking then stay far away. That is a race to the bottom waiting to happen, especially for products that are slower (check review velocity to get a gauge of sales velocity!
- The Stability Signal: You want products where the offer count is stable or slowly decreasing. This means sellers are selling out and not replenishing, leaving the Buy Box wide open for you.

3. Buy Box Price History: The "True" Value
Never trust the current price. The current price might be inflated because the low-price seller just went out of stock an hour ago.
Sellify’s Buy Box Price history tells you what the item actually sells for on average.
- Why it matters: If an item is selling for $40 today, but the history shows it sits at $25 for 11 months of the year, do not buy it assuming you can sell it for $40. You will get stuck with dead stock.
- Prediction Power: The past is the best prediction of the future. Use the historical average to calculate your ROI, not the current inflated price.

4. Buy Box Rotation: The Secret Weapon
This is perhaps the most powerful feature in the new update. On Walmart, the Buy Box is misunderstood. It rotates between Walmart.com (1P) and 3rd party sellers (3P) due to algorithm quirks and regional availability.
Sellify now lets you see if the Buy Box is actually rotating.
- The Walmart Myth: Many sellers automatically skip listings where "Walmart" is the seller. Don't do this.
- The Snipe: Sellify’s data often reveals that 3rd party sellers are sniping sales constantly, even at higher prices, because Walmart doesn't ship to every zip code with 2-day delivery.
- The Chart: Look for a fragmented Buy Box ownership bar. Notice the large differences in Buy Box price. This means the Buy Box is largely seasonal and that there is a large opportunity to sell at a much higher price than Walmart!

Summary: Data-Driven Sourcing
Sourcing without history is like driving with your eyes closed. Sellify’s new update gives you the vision you need to avoid tanked listings and find the hidden gems that other sellers miss.
Don't just look at the price. Look at the story the data is telling you.
